Hermit is an AppImage-like tool for creating standalone (self-contained) applications for Linux and BSD operating systems.Features:
* application header is a pure Bourne Shell script;
* all data is packed into a regular ZIP archive, which is then mounted using either 'fuse-zip' or 'archivemount' ('fusermount' is used for unmounting);
* 'sha512sum' for checking package integrity;
* launcher name is 'run', not 'AppRun';
* no *.desktop or icon file is needed;
* no '/usr'->'././' patching;
* mount point can be referenced via 'APP_MNT_DIR' environment variable;
* Hermit searches for executables and libraries in the project directory, then detects and copies external shared libraries which they depend on.
