UberStudent
OnWorks UberStudent online is an Ubuntu-based distribution on a DVD designed for learning and teaching academic computing at the higher education and advanced secondary levels. UberStudent comes with software for everyday computing tasks, plus a core set of programs and features designed to teach and make easier the tasks and habits common to high-performing students of all academic disciplines. Lifelong learners, as well as any sort of knowledge worker, will equally benefit. UberStudent is supported by a free Moodle virtual learning environment.

UberStudent is developed by Stephen Ewen, an educator who specializes in academic success strategies, post-secondary literacy instruction, and educational technology. UberStudent is, in part, inspired by his own experiences achieving top academic performance with the assistance of educational technology.
UberStudent is designed around a "core academic skills" approach to student success—the research and writing, reading, studying, and self-management skills that are essential to all students regardless of their academic major, as well as secondary students who are preparing for college.
