SAFEDC
DESCRIPTION:
SAFEDC is a freeware developed by Dr. Menglong Liu's group from Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen, China. Feel free to contact liumenglong1988@gmail.com for any query about SAFEDC. The full functionality is as follows:
1. Isotropic plate. In this module, guided wave with acousto-elastic effect in isotrpic single layer plate can be calculated, and result of dispersion cuve, displacement/stress/strain curve along the thickness, and static/dynamic mode shape can be output.
2. Anisotropic plate. In this module, laminate with arbitrary material and geometry parameters can be output, and guided wave in such a laminate can be caluclated, with similar output result to the isotropic plate.
3. General section. In this module, users can import STL file to SAFEDC, to calcuate guided waves in the general waveguide.
A paper named "Modelling guided waves in acoustoelastic and complex waveguides : From SAFE theory to an open-source tool" on Ultrasonics is published to introduce SAFEDC.
Features
- Computation of guided waves in plate and general section
- dispersion curves of guided wave with phase velocity, group velocity, and wavenumber
- comprehensive display of displacement, stress, strain, and animation
This is an application that can also be fetched from https://sourceforge.net/projects/safedc/. It has been hosted in OnWorks in order to be run online in an easiest way from one of our free Operative Systems.
