DESCRIPTION:

The current release is WCL_SALEM_BRIDGET_BISHOP-IX, which was uploaded during The Witching Hour on Sunday, September 17, 2023. The Bridget Bishop branch is named in honor of Bridget Bishop, a victim of The Salem Witchcraft Hysteria, who was hanged as an accused witch on June 10, 1692.

Bridget Bishop delivers Generation 7 of Bewitch, along with an array of new modules and features. Those changes and features are documented in the Texts directory.

Features

No need for xinitrc files or XDG autostarting. Salem tackles session startup with (1) central, parallel configuration file, named "sessionrc."
A Processing Manifest (Montgomery Logue) is produced for each session. You know exactly what happened during startup, and when it occurred.
Runs from the console (tty1), or any display manager.
