libonvif comes with an example program that implements discovery on the local network to find compatible cameras and return the RTSP string for streaming.
Tested on Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Foscam, Trendnet, Amcrest, Reolink, Vivotek, Speco and others. Should work for any Onvif compatible device.
INSTALL FOR WINDOWS: download libonvif-1.1.0.zip and extract folder. From libonvif\libonvif directory, run build.bat from your Visual Studio command prompt. See the ReadMe.txt file for detailed instructions. The video below shows how to install and link to libonvif.
INSTALL FOR LINUX, MAC, MINGW, download libonvif-1.1.0.tar.gz file and follow ./configure convention. Detailed installation instructions are included in the README included in the tar.gz file.
